What is CoreMed?

CoreMed is a membership-based healthcare program that provides unlimited primary care, same-week imaging, annual labs, and more without relying on traditional insurance.

Is CoreMed health insurance?

No. CoreMed is not insurance. It’s a direct primary care membership combined with optional healthshare coverage for major medical needs.

How does CoreMed work?

Who can join CoreMed?

Individuals, families, and businesses across Montana can join our Primary and Comprehensive memberships. Individuals & families across the U.S. can join our Catastrophic membership.

What services are included in membership?

Unlimited primary care visits, same-week X-rays, annual labs, mental health support, physical therapy, dental discounts, and a free prescription program. Click HERE for a full description.

Are prescriptions included?

Yes. CoreMed includes a free formulary of common medications and discounts on all other generics. Click HERE to see our medication list.

Does CoreMed cover labs and imaging?

Annual labs are included & xrays are covered in your monthly membership.

What if I need hospitalization or surgery?

Our Comprehensive plan pairs with Zion HealthShare, which helps cover major medical expenses after your chosen Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA). Click HERE for more info.

Is maternity covered?

Yes. Prenatal visits are included in membership, and labor/delivery costs are shared through Zion HealthShare.

How do I see a doctor with CoreMed?

Members can schedule unlimited visits at participating clinics or virtually. Same-week appointments are standard.

Where is CoreMed available?

Our CoreMed Primary and Catastrophic plan currently serves members in Flathead Valley, Eureka, Missoula, Billings, Bozeman, and Helena regions. CoreMed Catastrophic serves member around the U.S.

Can I choose my own provider?

Yes. CoreMed works with a network of direct care providers across Montana, and members are free to choose within the network.

Do I need referrals to see specialists?

No. Unlike traditional insurance, CoreMed members don’t need referrals for specialists.

What if I travel outside Montana?

You can still use CoreMed telehealth services. For major medical events, Zion HealthShare provides national and international support.

Is there a contract or long-term commitment?

CoreMed memberships are month-to-month with a three-month minimum commitment and a 30-day cancellation notice.
